This week I did way better than I did the previous week. I kept better track of what I was eating and I excercised at least 30 minutes each day...excluding the weekend...but hey, I can't be perfect all the time-right? Aaannndddd....I have now officially lost 10lbs more than my original goal! I am sooooo excited about that, and I am finally starting to see the results. I know in my head that I've lost weight, but it's been hard for me to see what others see. I know that doesn't make much sense, but it's a "girl" thing I think. A lot of us have a hard time seeing the beauty in ourselves that others see...hence the self image issues we are constantly hearing about in today's society! Anyway....I am feeling pretty good and I love it! I just hope that I can continue to maintain this lifestyle.
Andy is doing pretty well too. Guys lose weight so much easier than girls! It's really not fair, but I am proud of him anyway.
Well, here's to another happy and healthy week!

No More Excuses
Okay, okay...this past week was not so good...as my weigh in results show. I made a lot of excuses for myself and didn't make the best choices. But, I vow to do much better this week!! Guess that's all I need to say about that :)
Hope you have a happy, sunshiny and healthy week!

This Week...
Well, my hubby made it through his first week on WW. I know he feels like he didn't do so well, but for his first week I think he did great! I think it was a major shock to him when we started adding up what he would normally eat compared to what he should be eating though! He doesn't normally eat breakfast, but he grabs fast food quite often for lunch, and has at least two servings of whatever at dinner. He drinks one or two 20 oz Mt. Dews each day as well and a snack at night. So, it took him a couple of days to get used to the idea of eating healthy foods (vegetables....GASP!) but when he realized how quickly the food he wanted eat added up, but didn't fill him up he was a little more willing to do it my way! He has also been exercising this week too. I honestly believe that adding exercise into your daily routine is the only way to successfully lose weight. I am proud of him for taking that step! And I am very proud of him for making the decision (finally) to become a healthier person...we want him around for a LONG time!
*Not sure what is weight loss is yet...he doesn't do his weigh in until the evening since he has to leave so early in the am
As for me...I did okay this week...it was this weekend that was killer. My sweet darling hubby offered to take us all out for dinner Saturday as my Mother's Day gift. We really debated back and forth because, well...we are on a diet! But, in the end, the pizza (and the fact that I didn't have to cook) won us over. I know, it's okay to splurge once in awhile, but...I knew I wouldn't be eating that great on Sunday either, and to top it off I ate the left over pizza Sunday night. Oh, and I didn't excersize at all this weekend!! Fortunately I still lost almost 2lbs this week...think of what I could have done had I been a good girl. Oh well, guess there is always this week...
Wishing you all a happy and healthy week!

4 Months
It's been four months today that I decided to change my life, to become a better, healthier person. Four months today that I decided that I was not going to live one more day feeling horrible about myself. And I am so glad that I made that decision! It has not been an easy road by any means, but one that has been well worth every effort. I never want to go back! Okay, well some days I wish I could just eat whatever I want and not care, but for the most part I am honestly enjoying my new healthier lifestyle. In fact, while I was on vacation even though I decided that I could have whatever I wanted guilt free, I really missed my healthy food. I just felt so heavy and bogged down after every meal. Don't get me wrong, it was tasty and I enjoyed most of it, but it really made me aware of the changes that I have made! That was a big milestone for me!!
Now that I am back from vacation I have decided to set a new goal. According to the Wii, a healthy weight for me is 145lbs. So, that is what I am aiming for by my birthday. That means I need to lose about 13lbs in 6.5 weeks. I think it's do-able. If I reach it great, and if not that's okay. I weigh less now that I ever have as an adult. That is just amazing to me. And more importantly I would really like to get in shape which means exercise, exercise, exercise!!!
The most exciting news I have for this week is that my husband, Andy, has finally decided to make a change in his life too!!! He recently went to the doctors and had to take tests for possible diabetes. I think that has him scared. On top of that he sees how good I feel and he wants that too! I am so happy that he's finally at this point where he's willing to go for it! We all know how hard it is to give up our old eating habits and replace them with healthy choices. That is what is going to be hard for him as well. I just hope that I can be an encouragement to him and help him in this journey.
Hope everyone has a happy and healthy week!
P.S. Check out my new picture to the right...I FINALLY got around to posting one!
